About

This is the first CD in the Royal Flemish Philharmonic’s Belgian Boutique series which focuses on major pieces from the Belgian orchestral repertoire. It unites three composers who have worked with the “concertante” possibilities of the symphony orchestra, with the Overture Concertante by Jef Maes as a starting point. Also included are two concertos by Arthur Meulemans and the Scherzo concertante from the Concertos for Orchestra by Norbert Rosseau.
