This program of French song marks the solo debut recording of the brilliant young soprano Susanna Phillips. Ms. Phillips was the recipient of the Metropolitan Opera’s 2010 Beverly Sills Artist Award, and appeared at the Met last season as Pamina in Julie Taymor’s production of The Magic Flute, and as Musetta in La bohème.

Take the phone off the hook and bolt the door: this first solo recording from young American soprano Susanna Phillips is a delight that should not be interrupted...Phillips has the gorgeous, melting tone needed for 'C'est l'extase' (Ariettes oubliees), but there is so much more to these interpretations than simply making a lovely sound...this is a true partnership with the impressive Myra Huang, who matches every ebb and flow with consummate skill.
