December 2011
the present recital has the advantage of including three especially attractive works, the delightful Salzedo Variations, the Sonata by French-Canadian Pierick Houdy...and Britten's masterly five-movement Suite, written for Osian Ellis. It is like no other solo work for harp. Consistently inventive and melodically appealing, it brings constant changes of mood and colour.
