Aside from being a genre-defying composer, Steve Mackey is also a rock guitarist and composition professor at Princeton University. He was recently nominated for four Grammy’s for his work entitled Steve Mackey: Dreamhouse.

It Is Time was co-commissioned by Carnegie Hall and Chamber Music America. It was premiered at Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall, New York City, March 25, 2010.
