About
The great Hermann Prey’s debut as Wolfram, one of the finest on disc since Janssen and nowadays Terfel and Gerhaher. This was also Solti’s debut at the Met. Paris version directed by Dino Yannopoulos. Incidentally, one of the dancers in the Act 1 Bacchanale was the late Pina Bausch. Superb sound.
