The main work on this CD is a setting of Villon’s famous “testament”. Paulet writes “ With the exception of the Sonatine pour violin et piano and Sur un nuage, every piece on this recording was composed between 1987 and 1996, which makes this programme a 20th century retrospective of my early work. Partita 2 and La ballade des pendus have been a revelation to me. The piano plays a central role.”
