Once again René Clemencic breathes new life into a jewel of medieval poetry : "Hunting," the poet of Hadamar Laber is one of the most beautiful and most colorful of the 14th-century 'Minneallegorien,' or troubadour-sagas. Much of the musical material probably originated from Wolfram von Eschenbach himself, and takes the form late-medieval love-songs and dances. As artistic director of the Consort, René Clemencic attaches particular importance to scholarly commitment, vivid authenticity and conscious avoidance of pedantry.
