Awards and reviews

August 2011

Martin Roscoe gives a fine account of the Waldstein, capturing all the music's flamboyance. and meticulously conveying Beethoven's controversial pedal-markings in the concluding rondo. His affectionate performances of the Op. 49 Sonatas leave nothing to be desired, either.

September 2011

There is a warmth, directness and humanity about Roscoe's Beethoven that is very appealing, no more so than in his beautiful handling of Op 7's Largo movement, one of the highlights of the disc...A fine disc, superbly recorded at Potto Hall.
