About
Volume 2 of the acclaimed Panufnik Symphonic Works series includes his First and Fourth Symphonies and two additional works; Lullaby and Polonia. The latter was inspired by Polish folk melodies and Polish dances. Although Panufnik was granted political asylum in England in 1954 and thus ceased to live in Poland, his native land remained his most important source of inspiration throughout his life.
