About
Songlines is a cycle of six solo and duo pieces for strings. The title was inspired by Bruce Chatwin’s novel “The Songlines” and incorporates what Brass calls a process of “inner singing” vital to the conscious perception of all forms of music. There is no written score and the voices exist in free notation.
