This is Tubagility is the inspiring new album from Nick Etheridge featuring some of the UK’s finest musicians and young composers combined in a striking CD package designed by London artist Helen Ashton. This album showcases an extraordinary collection of works that are both challenging and fun from Funk, Big Band Jazz to Prog Rock, all served up with virtuosity, exuberance and seriously fat baselines…. Tubagility is Nick’s ongoing musical project in which he commissions, records and performs innovative and colourful new works featuring the tuba. The aim of the project is to explore the true potential of the instrument and raise awareness of its possibilities and engage a broader audience.
