Jean Huré (1877-1930), virtuoso pianist and organist and a prolific composer who won acclaim in all genres. The worthy heir to Franck and Debussy, this showcase release provides a world premiere recording of the Sonata for violin & piano. This disc is also the occasion to welcome a newcomer to the Timpani label – Marie-Josèphe Jude. A pupil of Aldo Ciccolini and finalist at the prestigious Clara Haskil Competition, this first release is testament to her commitment to rare scores and superb playing.
