Lehmberg is now thought to be a significant twentieth-century composer. Born in Malaga, he was the son of a German sailor who had been rescued off the coast of Malaga. His work is now attracting attention for its fine quality and promise of what might have been a most notable career. The music is filmic in places, and Falla-esque in others. Beautifully performed, this is a real discovery!
