This special DVD and CD set celebrates over 60 years of the Orchestra’s history through film and music, charting the high profile conductors, international performers and turbulent times that have helped to shape the orchestra as we know it today and to create an ongoing tradition of musical excellence. The DVD Documentary is presented by Andrew Sachs and features footage and interviews and provides a fascinating insight into the RPO.

The bonus audio CD features recordings conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham (the RPO founder), Rudolph Kempe, André Previn, Sir Charles Groves and Daniele Gatti.
