These works are played on period instruments and the Australian artist Nicola Boud plays a basset horn. Her interest in the early clarinet brought her to the Netherlands where she gained a Masters degree in historical performance practice. She works regularly with the Edding Quartet and has appeared at many festivals. The Edding Quartet’s previous recordings on Etcetera received good reviews.
