Göteborg Baroque has in a short space of time established itself as Sweden’s foremost baroque ensemble. The ensemble was formed in 2004 by Magnus Kjellson, who is also its conductor and artistic director. Göteborg Baroque’s debut CD is devoted entirely to Buxtehude, six pieces are presented, from intimate solo cantatas to the grand Benedicam Dominum for double choir. All the music is taken from the Düben collection in Uppsala, Sweden.
