This CD juxtaposes songs of the troubadors of Northern and Southern France with songs by German minnesingers in the period 1150 – 1250. The singers of that era were widely travelled and many musical cross-currents have come to light. The Ensemble für frühe musik Augsburg presents a colourful selection from this repertoire.
