About
Patrizia Ciofi made her stage debut at just 22 years old, and has since sung at Covent Garden, Madrid, Barcelona, New York and Paris. In 2005 she was awarded a Grammy for her performance in Le Nozze de Figaro
Ciofi has declared she favours rare operas as they leave her more freedom of interpretation, as there are no comparisons of tradition to deal with.

Awards and reviews
Opera Britannia 25th July 2009
There is much to enjoy here, but the “Prendi amor” from Tomasso Traetta’s Ippolito e Aricia is the highlight of this two disc compilation...Ciofi’s cool tone and shell-like timbre is utterly mesmeric, whilst her control of dizzying passagework is breathtaking.
