About
A beautiful collection of choral music and songs by Jeronimo de Carrion (1660-1721) including his glorious Misa de Batalla del octavo tono. De Carrion was probably born in Segovia around 1660. He is known to have trained as a child in the cathedral choir and after some travels he returned home in 1690 to take up the position of Master of the Chapel. Little known outside Spain this CD brings to us the music of this sadly neglected composer.
