About
Discovered during the 2001 violin session of the famous Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels (where she received the Ysaÿe Price), Ning Kam combines the heritage of a musicians family of Singapore - her father is a celebrated composer - with an impressive scholarship in the United States and a fine sensitivity for the European patrimony. Since her meeting with the British pianist Carole Presland at the London Menuhin School, areal artistic complicity is born, and this CD shows it clearly. Turning aside from the beaten tracks, this recital explores the mysterious links between Old and New World during the two last centuries. Playing a wonderful Amati, which colours appear infinitely various, Ning Kam imposes herself as a true temperament!
