Catherine Perrin plays 24 preludes... from Sweelinck to Jean Lesage, meeting along the way such composers as Scott Ross, Chopin, Daveluy, Louis and François Couperin, and, of course, Johann Sebastian Bach. By juxtaposing various eras and styles, she proposes a journey as astounding as the prelude form itself, a moment of privileged inspiration, fanciful and anarchical.
