About
Charles Widor’s organ music consists primarily of his ten symphonies, published between 1872 and 1900, although his catalogue is much more extensive, including sonatas/piano pieces/songs/3 concertos/chamber music and 5 symphonies for orchestra.
Frederic Ledroit has studied with some of the most important French organists, such as Louis Robilliard, Jean Guillou, Jeanne-Pierre Leguay and Xavier Darasse and was awarded 5 first prizes at the Conservatoire National de Region de Lyon, and at the Ufam International Competition in Paris. Relying on extremely brilliant virtuosity and great creativity, he excels at improvisation, in which one recognises the composer’s touch.
