Gérard Lecointe is the founder and artistic director of the percussions Claviers de lyon, as well as a soloist in the ensemble.
He is also a committed teacher/transmitter, an active supporter of contemporary music and an eclectic composer/arrangeur. "Point Bak", commissioned by a festival centred on the oeuvre of J.S Bach, was written in 1997.
My intention was to compose a musical divertissement based on the first book of the Well-tempered Clavier, which is a cycle of preludes and fugues in all the major and minor keys of the chromatic scale" Gerard Lecointe.
