About
This double-CD release offers some rare recordings (especially the Praeludien mit Fughetten on CD 2) played by one of Italy’s most talented and acclaimed pianists.
“Bacchetti’s style is unconventional but never iconoclastic . . . It marries a profound musical instinct with a keen and well-informed intellect, and an approach to the instrument . . . Which makes many of his colleagues seem like crude beginners. . . . He may thus never have the career he so richly deserves, but deserve it he most emphatically does” Piano Magazine

September 2009
There are some very fine Bach keyboard players around, but I find his highly individual style uniquely enjoyable and uplifting. Bacchetti's way of playing is hard to characterise, and impossible to in a single word. He is supremely concerned to articulate every voice, but that doesn't mean that his playing is didactic
More than two-and-a-half hours of Bach's solo keyboard music, sensitively played by Andrea Bacchetti…
October 2009
Bacchetti allows his luminous sonority to soar without pressure or fuss
September/October 2009
Andrea Bacchetti is a pianist at home across the whole extent of the piano literature, with his Bach playing well able to rank alongside the finest present-day exponents
September 2009
Andrea Bacchetti's playing of Bach is fluid, fluent, flexible and mellifluous
September 2009
Beautiful atmosphere and legato playing are again aspects of Bacchetti’s playing which bring me back every time
[Bacchetti] plays them with spontaneous freshness and plenty of expressive life, and these two discs make very appealing listening.
Piano September 2009
Intensely personal, musically discriminating at a very high level, highly sophisticated pianistically
