Within Franz Lehrndorfer's choice of medium- and large-scale pieces one can hear the dazzling virtuosity of Liszt, the drama of Wagner and the expressive harmony of Richard Strauss - quite a mixture! Lehrndorfer shows a clear affinity with Reger's style' his rubato and choice of tempi are always appropriate and he makes good use of the massive organ in the Munich cathedral.
