Joep Franssens (b-1955) is one of the most well known Dutch composers of his generation. In Holland his music is frequently performed to huge audiences who find his style instantly appealing and approachable. Regarded as the leading exponent of the so called New Spirituality movement, Franssens’ music can sit comfortably beside that of his American counterparts John Adams and Steve Reich.
