About
Among the works of composer Agusti Borgunyo (1894-1967) are these two outstanding quartets written in 1955 and 1963. Born in Spain in 1894, Burgunyo emigrated to the USA in 1915. His music, like many other composers who have done the same, has a very Spanish quality but has assimilated the music of his adopted homeland.
These are difficult pieces for the musicians to play and the performance of the Drago Quartet is inspirational. All four musicians rise to the challenge with amazing results.
