About

“Orkan”, which translates as “hurricane” or “tempest” is a cycle of musical pieces by Asheim set to texts by Sigbjørn Obstfelder (1866-1900). Obstfelder is one of the most important writers in late 19th century Norway, and among the first modernists in the country. Asheim’s music to Obstfelders text is multi-dimentional and engaging contemporary music in a chamber format
