The Dunedin Consort is Scotland’s pre-eminent chamber vocal ensemble, founded in 1996 by Ben Parry and Susan Hamilton. This recording features William Byrd’s Mass for Five Voices, accompanied by motets and organ hymns by Byrd and by his teacher Thomas Tallis. The Dunedin Consort presents these works with one voice per part, creating an exceedingly clear vocal texture.
