The Eric Ericson Chamber Choir, founded in 1945 by Eric Ericson and administrated by the Swedish Broadcasting Company, is the jewel among Sweden’s many choirs. The singing soloists appearing on this recording are members of the choir and reinforce its high reputation.<br>&nbsp;<br>The phenomenal jazz violinist Svend Asmussen deserves to be far better known, having worked with touring artists such as Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and Josephine Baker, but has always preferred to centre his music-making in his native Denmark. He is here surrounded by three prominent Swedish jazz musicians, Bengt Hallberg, Georg Riedel and Egil Johansen.
