The Medici's Mendelssohn Octet could easily be swamped by its many CD rivals, but has a light-touch charm and elegance which are warmly endearing. The Franck is also very listenable. —

Feltsman is a versatile pianist, and his Schubert has a superb sense of melodic line. There’s a welcome stridency, too, which could have been softened with a less treble-heavy sound. —
