We’re delighted to announce the addition of Chandos to our Presto CD offering, starting with 30 titles which have been unavailable on CD for several years. Established by Brian Couzens, Chandos has won many prestigious awards for its natural sound, and is best known for its ground-breaking search for neglected musical gems.
This first batch includes recordings by Richard Hickox, Gervase de Peyer, Kathryn Stott, the BBC Philharmonic, Howard Shelley and the Purcell Quartet, and of music covering a wide range from Renaissance court music to works by David Matthews and Cyril Scott.
