Kimberly Levaco is about to turn sixteen but, due to a rare genetic disorder that's prematurely ageing her four and a half times faster than her new high school friends, she looks seventy-four. Ever the optimist, she's determined to find happiness against all odds.

Kimberly Akimbo was first performed Off-Broadway in 2021. The musical, with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, premiered on Broadway the following year, winning five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.
It received its British premiere at Hampstead Theatre, London, in 2026, directed by Michael Longhurst and starring Olivier Award-winning Maria Friedman in the title role.
